Lighting Up the Stage
2023 marked the first "back-to-normal" year for Hotel Data Conference (HDC) post-pandemic. I pitched a creative concept for "Lighting up the Stage", to showcase the return of tourism, recovery of the industry and positivity ahead. 2023 also marked the first year of incorporating a theme to be carried out through the full conference experience.

COLOR PALETTE
The traditional branding for HDC pairs a warm colored gradient (red to yellow) with a cool colored gradient (blue to purple). I established a cohesive color palette focused on the blue to purple gradient, altering the colors to look like neon and "shine" on dark and white backgrounds. Adding in pink as an additional color, the gradient could be broken out at any color band and be considered on brand.
CREATIVE ASSETS
2023 marked the 15th anniversary for HDC, in which the team wanted to have an emblem to signify this. I created a XV (roman numerals for 15) graphic to be used as representation of this milestone. The gradient was often used with a curve of white to mimic the appearance of light. Camera glares and flares were other representations of light used on images.
ON-SITE SIGNAGE
Since the 15th Hotel Data Conference was the first year the conference was being held at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, I successfully sourced materials and constructed the signage to incorporate backlighting and a vision of "floating" signs on a budget.
